A Preston-based creative and ideas agency has spoken of a ‘renewed sense of focus and direction’ after engaging with the fully funded Lancashire Forum Creative business and growth programme.
Forepoint has engaged with the free business growth programme following communications from the Centre for SME Development. Lancashire Forum Creative is a leadership and business growth programme delivered by the University of Central Lancashire and funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The service is available through Boost by speaking with our Growth Support Service.
To date, Forepoint, which has offices in Preston and London, has attended several ‘Digital Think Tank’ events, including a 12 hour ‘Design Sprint’ focussed on new product development. These collaborative sessions have helped provide context and insight, as well as shape the company’s involvement with the programme.
A small team from Forepoint joined fellow creatives for a ‘Think Differently Sprint’ day hosted at UCLan, which focussed on tools and techniques for rapid product development. The event provided attendees with a bespoke toolkit and strategy document tailored to their business needs along with a sample of the tools needed to support them in running their own sprints.
Head of digital at Forepoint, Matthew Simpson said: “The events have been engaging, informative and a great chance to take time out to focus on our ways of working. The sessions provided different perspectives and offered us a renewed sense of focus and direction for the business”. Laurie Smith, programme director, Lancashire Forum Creative, added: “The events we put on for Lancashire’s creative and digital SMEs are designed to provide businesses with the tools, knowledge and peer-led support they need to take their business to the next level.
“Our creative and innovative sessions are based on solid academic research and industry know-how, backed up with experienced facilitation to help our clients make progress.” Lancashire Forum Creative is a leadership and business growth programme that is tailored to meet the learning and development needs of Lancashire’s creative and digital SMEs.
