A dynamic programme supporting Lancashire businesses with scaleup aspirations.

02 ScaleToThrive 740

Who is it for?

Lancashire has over 800 identified scale-up businesses, and Scale to Thrive is designed exclusively for this select group of ambitious leaders. This programme has a limited number of places for businesses and is delivered in groups of 10-15.

It is available to ambitious leaders who want to scaleup and push ahead on innovation, investment, and internationalisation.

Support is available for businesses with a minimum turnover of £1m and/or 10 full time staff, that have been expanding over the past three years (or already growing 20%) with a pipeline of 20% growth over next three years.

It is also available to startup businesses showing rapid growth in the first year with future projections to scale.

Helping Lancashire businesses thrive

The Scale to Thrive service has been brilliant. Everyone in the cohort has turns to share their insights and challenges during the team workshops. I then review what’s been suggested for Bamfords, consider the ideas presented and decide if I can implement them.

Scale to Thrive cohort four

Our Scale-to-Thrive cohort four began in October with a unique launch event at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, Chorley.

The event gave an oversight to what the programme aims to achieve and is a great networking opportunity. The session was led by Richard Jeffery, national director of Scale-to-Thrive and Amanda Farrington, Boost Access to Finance lead adviser, who shared advice on how businesses can tap into finance opportunities, from debt and equity to angel investment.

Attendees heard from Joe Twigg, Scale-to-Thrive business adviser, who shared his personal journey and tips on how the programme will help their business.
