Senior Conservative minister, Mims Davies, will speak at the Chamber’s Women Mean Business Event, in association with Code Galaxy.

The Minister for Social Mobility, Youth & Progression, will speak at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, together with Liz Taylor, and a further speaker yet to be announced.

Having worked in various departments in government under recent prime ministers, Mims took responsibility for Social Mobility, Youth and Progression upon her appointment in 2022.  She was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Office and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Employment at the Department for Work and Pensions. Mims has also worked in the Department for Digital, Culture & Media and was also Assistant Government Whip.

Business woman, media commentator, lecturer and TV personality, Liz Taylor, will be joining the female-led audience for an inspiring afternoon.  Liz’s clients include Gary Barlow, Coronation Street actors, Gary Neville, Yaya Toure, Michelle Keegan & Mark Wright, and television presenters Eamonn Holmes & Ruth Langsford.

Her portfolio of work also includes leading blue-chip organisations such as UEFA, Mercedes Benz, Liverpool FC, Manchester United FC, Selfridges, and ITV.  Liz was the official organiser of the Coronation Street 50th anniversary celebrations, and has been hired specifically to stage events for guests of honour from the Royal Family.

Places at the event are limited; you can book tickets by clicking below.  Corporate tables of ten can be secured for £400 (all prices plus vat), tickets include a two-course lunch.  Individual places are just £45 for members, £55, affiliate members and £65 for non-members.
