Boost Flying Start, GC Business Finance and British Business Bank

Boost’s Flying Start service has teamed up with GC Business Finance to showcase the Start Up Loans programme and discuss finance and support for startup and early-stage businesses in the Lancashire region.

We are delighted to have Andrew Leeming, Boost’s programme manager, chairing the event and Richard Bearman, managing director, Small Business Lending, British Business Bank providing an overview of the Start Up Loans scheme. This is a great opportunity to understand how the scheme operates and hear first-hand insights and experiences from entrepreneurs who have benefitted from funding.

A representative from Boost’s Flying Start team will also be on hand to give an overview of the funded service and how Lancashire businesses can benefit.

Our panellists will welcome questions during the Q&A with our experts from GCBF and Boost. The event will take place at the Shout Connect HQ, Preston Docks, Preston.

Tea/ Coffee and Lunch will be provided.

Places are limited and first come first served. The event is primarily aimed at startups and new business founders trading for less than three years. Priority will be given to this category.

Boost Flying Start

Boost is Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, one of 37 Growth Hubs in the UK. Boost is led by Lancashire County Council and has supported over 14,000 businesses, helped create over 3,500 jobs while adding over £100m to the economy since 2013.

The Flying Start service is for Lancashire-based early-stage businesses that have traded for less than three years, and aspiring individuals with a great business idea.

It is aimed at leaders who have a bright and growing vision for their new business. This service focuses on building business and financial acumen and the core skills to establish a new business and drive sustainable growth.

GC Business Finance

GC Business Finance (GCBF) is the alternative lending provider to mainstream lenders and has a proven track record in supporting thousands of SMEs. Through their government backed finance products they support new and growing businesses.

GCBF are part of a network of national business support partners delivering the Start Up Loans Scheme. The Start Up Loans Scheme is a subsidiary of the British Business Bank.

GC Business Finance Start Ups provides both finance and business support to new and early-stage businesses. You can find more here - https://businessfinancestartup.co.uk.

Boost’s Flying Start service is aimed at ambitious future business leaders, with a focus on building business acumen and to acquire and apply the core skills required to establish the business and drive sustainable business growth amidst a changing economic and business landscape.

The service is targeted at pre-start businesses and anyone who has been trading for less than three years. You must have an ambition to succeed and be ready to make the next steps to creating a successful business.

Businesses within the following partner local authority areas can access this service: Blackburn with Darwen Council, Burnley Council, Chorley Council, Fylde Council, Hyndburn Borough Council, Pendle Borough Council, Preston City Council, South Ribble Borough Council, West Lancashire Borough Council and Wyre Council.
