Are you considering equity funding to accelerate your business growth?

Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub’s is running Investment Academy 2, designed to help businesses better understand how to secure equity investment.

The academy is fully-funded and led by Boost’s Access to Finance team in partnership with fhunded. 

It will support an initial cohort of up to 20 Lancashire business leaders through four face-to-face sessions which will take place in January and February.

The sessions will be led by Boost Access to Finance’s experts as well as investment experts from across the public and private sector in Lancashire and will cover key equity investment issues including:

  • Understanding the mechanics of equity investment
  • Developing an investment proposition
  • How to identify and pitch to investors
  • Legal, Intellectual Property and HMRC initiatives of different forms of finance
  • Mastering due diligence

The online event will give more details about the programme as well as an overview of the funding landscape. This will include:

  • Different types of investment and which businesses they are best suited to
  • The support available in Lancashire to find and secure funding
  • The wider business support landscape in Lancashire

The event will also give eligible businesses the opportunity to then submit expressions of interest for the academy.

About Boost and Access to Finance

Boost is Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, one of 37 Growth Hubs in the UK. Boost is led by Lancashire County Council and has supported over 14,000 businesses, helped create over 3,500 jobs while adding over £100m to the economy since 2013.

Eligibility

From September 1 2023, Boost is funded by Lancashire County Council, the Department for Business & Trade (DBT), and UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocations from ten Lancashire local authorities.
