International Coworking Day Open Day

Join us at Society1 to celebrate our favourite day of the year – International Coworking Day!

Society1 is the first coworking space of its kind in Preston, offering hotdesking, meeting spaces, memberships, one-off day passes, and more. Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we live and breathe the ethos of coworking. We believe that when we’re working together, we’re all working better.

To celebrate International Coworking Day 2024, we’re inviting the wider community to join us for an Open Day at our city-centre workspace. Everyone is welcome – come have a chat and learn more about what we do at Society1. We love meeting our neighbours and fellow Preston People!

Here’s what’s happening on the day:

Open Day

Stop in anytime on 9th August for a peek around. Take a tour of the building, chat to the team, meet current members, and ask any questions. Interested in how coworking could benefit you or your business? Just want to see inside the building you walk past all the time? Want to see our meeting spaces before booking your next team day? Stop in!

Coffee & Cake Morning

To thank our current members and welcome our friends from the community, we’re holding a get-together to celebrate International Coworking Day. From about 10am, we’re putting on a spread of coffee, snacks, and cakes. Join us to raise a glass (or coffee cup!) to the best day of the year! While you’re here, meet some other local business people, remote workers, or freelancers!

Free Coworking Passes

We’re giving you the opportunity to try coworking for FREE! On Friday 9th August, cowork from Society1 for the day free of charge. This deal is available to anyone, even if you’ve used a free day pass at S1 before (the only day of the year we offer this!).

Free Day Passes are valid on the day 9am-4pm. You’ll have access to hotdesking, our WiFi, the Open Day celebrations, and unlimited tea and coffee while you’re working.

Raffle Prizes

There is no coworking without community, so this year to celebrate International Coworking Day, we’d like to bring the everyone together to give back to one of our favourite community organisations. We’ll be holding a raffle for select Society1 merch, prizes donated from the S1 members, and more, with all the proceeds going to the Foxton Center. Buy your raffle tickets on the day, or keep your eye on social media or our website for information about how to buy your tickets beforehand. We’ll draw the winner at the end of the day on International Coworking Day!

We’d love for you to join us for the full day or even just a few minutes. Drop in and out as you please, work with us, come chat, bring your friends, have some cake!

About Society1: 

Society1 is an independent coworking space located in Preston City Centre. We offer hotdesking, dedicated desk space, meeting room rental, virtual offices, and events.

Getting Here: Society1 is located on Cross Street, just off Winckley Square (PR1 3LT). It is easily accessible by bus and train.

Public parking is available at Fishergate Shopping Centre or Avenham Public Car Park.

When you arrive for an event at Society1, please ring the buzzer outside the front door and report to reception to get checked in.
