HR Forum in partnership with Harrison Drury: HR Trends and top priorities for 2025

January 29, 2025

09:30 - 11:30

Preston

North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce

HR professionals have had a lot to grapple with in recent years, and 2025 looks to be no exception, with the new government’s impending bill. Whilst the bill has many facets, key areas for employers to consider, and prepare for, include the fact that almost 9 million employees will benefit from protection against unfair dismissal from day one, 1.7 million will benefit from new policies on flexible working, and up to 2 million will receive a right to bereavement leave.

Additionally, thousands of pregnant women and mothers will benefit from new maternity protections, and tens of thousands of fathers and partners will be brought into the scope of paternity leave. As of December 10, 2024, the Employment Rights Bill went before the Public Bills Committee, where it has been debated.

The committee stage is scheduled to conclude by January 21.

What’s on the Agenda?

Katy and Helen will be covering:

  • Changes to employment law that have already happened in 2024 and expected in 2025 and beyond Employment contract and policy update
  • Discussion surrounding key topics for HR strategy in 2025
  • Q&A sessions for participants to address specific concerns
  • Following on from our discussions at the last HR Forum about the changes on the horizon, the HR Forum will look ahead at the challenges and opportunities, ahead.

Together, we’ll help your business prepare, ahead of time, for these material changes.

Join us at the HR Forum and use this time wisely to ensure that your business is prepared for these changes when they come, to minimise impact. Price: This event is included in your HR Forum Membership.
