This masterclass is designed for pre-start or early-stage business owners who are looking to build confidence in presenting their business ideas, networking, and promoting their ventures. These informal and conversational sessions are perfect for anyone who is new to the daunting world of business, providing a supportive space to develop essential business skills in a relaxed, informal, and conversational way.

This dynamic and interactive session will guide you through understanding and overcoming imposter syndrome, help you craft a compelling elevator pitch, and make you comfortable with networking and presenting.

By the end of the workshop, you'll trust your instincts and be ready to confidently promote your business.

Objectives:

  • Build confidence in networking and presenting your business. 
  • Learn strategies to handle feedback and trust your business instincts. 

This masterclass is delivered by Selnet, on behalf of Boost’s Flying Start service and presented by an external business adviser Kerry Stevens who is a director of Beanstalk CIC, that is dedicated to providing support, work experience, and encouragement to those in need.

Kerry has over 25 years of professional experience in supporting people towards employment and as a serial entrepreneur starting and running businesses, she has been instrumental in breaking down barriers one step at a time.

The Flying Start service is for early-stage businesses that have traded for less than three years, and aspiring individuals with a great business idea. It is aimed at leaders who have a bright and growing vision for their new business. 

The service focusses on building business and financial acumen and the core skills to establish a new business and drive sustainable growth.

This service is available to businesses within the following partner local authority areas: Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Burnley Council, Chorley Council, Fylde Council, Hyndburn Borough Council, Pendle Borough Council, Preston City Council, South Ribble Borough Council, West Lancashire Borough Council and Wyre Council.
