Ever fancied having your own business and being your own boss?

Then this masterclass is for YOU! This session will give you a clear and simple run through of the steps you need to take when starting your own business, helping you to make plans to turn your ideas into a reality.

We will look at how to:

  • Operate your business and keep things legal 
  • Develop your idea, product or service 
  • Research the market you will operate in 
  • Recognise your USP (Unique Selling Point)

This masterclass is delivered by Selnet, on behalf of Boost’s Flying Start service and is being presented by Boost business adviser Alistair Clarke. Alistair is an accredited, specialist social enterprise business adviser who has supported hundreds of social businesses during his career. He is equally at home advising private businesses to grow, build their team and diversify their products and services.

The Boost Flying Start service is for early-stage businesses that have traded for less than three years, and aspiring individuals with a great business idea. It is aimed at leaders who have a bright and growing vision for their new business. 

The service focusses on building business and financial acumen and the core skills to establish a new business and drive sustainable growth. This service is available to businesses within the Wyre Council local authority area and also open to residents in: Burnley, Blackburn with Darwen, Chorley, Fylde, Hyndburn Borough, Pendle, Preston, South Ribble and West Lancashire Council areas.
