Boost Flying Start: Business Network

The business network is a brand-new monthly in-person peer network for Boost Flying start business support clients. Whether you're a pre-start business entrepreneur or a new business under three years, this provision gives you an opportunity to network.

If you are eager to share industry insights or keen to develop your business idea, these sessions are a fantastic opportunity to forge new connections in business. The event is also open to businesses that have not yet engaged with Boost to allow them to network with Flying Start businesses and learn about the Boost offer. Each meeting will include an introduction from a Boost business adviser and guest speakers who will keep you up-to-date on the latest developments, both locally and beyond.

Community CVS will provide the space, the facilitator, and ensure a chartered business adviser is in attendance each time. This is your chance to share ideas, collaborate, and seek peer support. 

This networking event is delivered by Selnet, on behalf of Boost’s Flying Start service and is facilitated by Boost Flying Start business advisers Lynn Trickett and Chris Trickett.

Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and Institute of Consulting and offers a contemporary, process-driven approach, including strategic troubleshooting, and practical tips to enhance sustainability and commercial success.

Lynn is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and qualified business adviser with a distinguished 24-year record in facilitating business support contracts. She has extensive expertise in working with new and growth businesses across multiple sectors. 

PARKING: Please do not park on the car park next to the Community Hub – this is a private car park and you will be fined. You can now park on Morrisons for FREE for 3 hours on any floor. For longer than 3 hours, you can park and pay on the top floor. 

The Flying Start service is for early-stage businesses that have traded for less than three years, and aspiring individuals with a great business idea. It is aimed at leaders who have a bright and growing vision for their new business. 

The service focuses on building business and financial acumen and the core skills to establish a new business and drive sustainable growth. This service is available to businesses within the following partner local authority areas: Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Burnley Council, Chorley Council, Fylde Council, Hyndburn Borough Council, Pendle Borough Council, Preston City Council, South Ribble Borough Council, West Lancashire Borough Council and Wyre Council.
