North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce

Chamber Trade Academy presents a webinar on the regularly discussed topic of rules of origin.

What is declaration on the origin of the goods? The statement on origin is a declaration by the exporter about the origin of its product. The statement on origin is made out by the exporter to self-declare the origin of its product by EU exporters that are registered in the Registered Exporter System (REX) for consignments of € 6,000 and above.

There are different types of proof of origin, depending on the preferential trade arrangement such as a certificate of origin issued by the customs administration or public authority or a statement on origin / an invoice declaration / an origin declaration made out by an exporter.

Our discussion will help you navigate the various requirements and help ensure you meet regulatory requirement.
