Amazon Academy: Session one

April 10, 2025

10:00 - 13:00

Preston

North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce

Learn from a master how to become an expert seller on Amazon, then sit back and watch your sales rack up as Amazon does the hard bit!

What could be easier than selling on Amazon, right? Wrong!

Yes, Amazon is an amazing platform for entrepreneurs looking to either start a business, diversify/expand sales of products of an existing business, or even for anyone looking to set-up a lucrative side hustle – with rich rewards for those who get it right. But it’s not as easy as it sounds.

There are common pitfalls to avoid, and they are only easy to avoid if you know how. So why not get it right from the get-go, avoid the common mistakes made by many before you, do it faster and better, without the hassles of errors, which means you get to sit back and reap the rewards of a super-successful Amazon adventure!

  • Session 1 – Useful for businesses already selling on Amazon
  • Session 2 – Useful for businesses with products that you want to sell on Amazon, but you don’t know where to start
  • Session 3 – Useful for people wanting to use Amazon as a ‘side-hustle’

Join us for three exciting and engaging interactive workshops with serial entrepreneur and Amazonian king seller, Adrian Meakin – the ‘Amazon Geek’ at Sales Geek, who has been there and got the badge more than once.

He’ll be showing you the how, why and what behind successful Amazon selling. Including:

  • Why Amazon can be the perfect side hustle for new entrepreneurs.
  • What makes a good product that’ll fly off Amazon’s shelves.
  • What products to avoid. What makes a ‘pocket of opportunity’.
  •  A demo of software that helps find these opportunities.
  • The ‘6-star product’ and ‘basic/expected/wow’.
  • The perfect listing.
  • The ‘honeymoon period’ and teaching the algorithm your listing is relevant.
  • PPC and organic positions on Amazon.
  • International opportunities – become an exporter overnight.
  • ‘Pan-Euro FBA’ and scaling up your business.
  • Automation and the work-life balance

You should be.

More about the speaker – Adrian has been selling on Amazon for almost 20 years. He has been there, done it, built up brands and sold them (and is still doing it), so he knows exactly what works and what doesn’t. He has been coaching companies for almost 5 years and his clients range from 8-figure global brands to university students and everything in between.

After all, you don’t know what you don’t know. He is a multi-award winner (including a prestigious BIBA award for E-Commerce), a member of MENSA and a winner of The Weakest Link. What he doesn’t know about Amazon isn’t worth knowing; in short, he is an ‘Amazon Geek’ so you don’t have to be!
