Sales Geek and Two Zero launch part-funded sales director service for Lancashire businesses

YSD web news Boost

Businesses in Lancashire looking to scale by growing their sales revenue are being invited to take advantage of a new partnership between Lancashire County Council’s scaleup support service Two Zero and sales training and consultancy firm Sales Geek.

The partnership will offer 50 per cent funded places on Sales Geek’s Your Sales Director service, providing Lancashire scaleup businesses with an expert sales director working directly within their business for up to four days. Your Sales Director is targeted at companies looking to expand their sales operations. One of Sales Geek’s experts will help them to explore and build capacity in sales processes and systems, sales and operational infrastructure, analysis, planning and revenue.

The partnership will offer access to one of two Sales Geek experts, Darren Neill who boasts 30 years sales experience, including 15 at director level, or Graeme Murray, who has led sales teams at local, national and international firms over a 20-year career. Amin Vepari, programme manager, Two Zero, said: “Improving your sales strategy and processes is a key way for companies to scale by growing revenue.

Hiring a sales director is one way companies can gain this expertise but the salary sales directors often command makes this a big step for many SMEs. “Sales Geek’s Your Sales Director service allows companies to benefit from this sales director expertise without the commitment and cost of a full-time employee. “Since Sales Geek took part in Two Zero’s Scaleup Resurgence programme during 2021, we have remained in touch and I have seen how beneficial the Your Sales Director service is to scaling Lancashire businesses. “This partnership will allow new companies, who may not have otherwise used Sales Geek’s services, to benefit from the expertise of an experienced sales director.”

Two Zero is a business support service for scaleup business leaders in Lancashire. Led by Lancashire County Council, its mission is to help Lancashire’s scaleup leaders learn, grow their business 20% and create jobs. The partnership service is available to businesses in Lancashire with 10 or more employees which have grown staff or turnover 20 per cent in the past three years or have an ambition to reach this. It is 50 per cent funded by Lancashire County Council. Businesses are asked to contribute £990 for a two-day package or £1,980 for a four-day package.

Ben Blackman, chief operations, Sales Geek said: “We have worked in partnership with Two Zero and have links with other Lancashire County Council support programmes so we know how valuable tailored support is to high-growth companies. As a Lancashire founded and based company, we are proud to continue working with Two Zero and exciting companies across our great county. “Your Sales Director is Sales Geek’s original and most popular service and has achieved high impact return for clients all over the UK for over six years.

As well as expert advice, recipients receive specific tools to refine their sales strategy and we’re excited to work with new companies we haven’t support before, to help them scale and in turn grow the Lancashire economy.” Further details about the service are available on the Your Sales Director page on the Two Zero website.
