London private equity firm invests in Lancashire-based Amazon ecommerce-as-a-service provider

Nick Comer CEO Rosetta Brands Banner

London-based Rockpool Investments, has made a significant minority investment in Rosetta Brands, a provider of software-enhanced services to sellers on Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer.

Based in Nateby near Garstang, Rosetta Brands provides its consumer brand clients with an ‘ecommerce-as-a-service’ outsourced Amazon function, helping them to access Amazon Vendor benefits and maximise their success selling through Amazon with a combination of agency, optimisation, and vendor services.

Rosetta has grown rapidly with its service revenues more than doubling in each of the last three years. Rockpool’s investment will support continued growth in the existing Rosetta business, as well as expansion into new geographies and product categories.

Darran Green, Partner, and Ollie Taylor, Investment Executive, led the investment for Rockpool. Rosetta is led by its founders, Nick Comer, CEO, and Steve Keable, CFO. Nick received support from Boost after contacting Boost’s business relationship management team in 2017, when seeking further advice on his new business venture. He was introduced to Boost business coach Hayley Caine, a sales and marketing strategist.

Recognising Hayley’s valuable experience in sales and marketing, Nick shared his idea to develop an expanded ‘gateway’ service to Amazon for other businesses. Hayley gave Nick the assurance that his idea was unique and viable and they set to work to develop a sales strategy and marketing plan. This was the start of the rapid growth that Rosetta Brands has experienced since taking part in Boost’s programme.

Nick Comer, CEO at Rosetta Brands said: “I am delighted with our new investment and relationship with Rockpool. This will take Rosetta Brands to our next level of growth both here in the UK and internationally.

"We have used Boost’s support programme several times on our journey to this point, and have found it invaluable to validate our ideas, and steer us onto a winning path. I thoroughly recommend the array of Boost programmes available to businesses wanting to achieve high growth in their sector.”
