Global Enterprise Week 2017

Next week (13th-19th November) is Global Entrepreneurship Week - one week each November, when thousands of events and competitions in 160 countries inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.

Powered by the Kauffman Foundation, the initiative is supported by dozens of world leaders and a network of more than 15,000 partner organisations. Here's our pick of some events in Lancashire and beyond you might want to attend to get inspired: 

Start-Up Inspirations Monday 13th November | 09:30 - 11:30 | Winter Gardens, Blackpool Practical advice and inspiration for anyone considering starting their own business.

Scaling for Growth Tuesday 14th November | 09:00 - 15:30 | Cotton Court, Preston A masterclass designed to provide entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to scale your new business rapidly.

Funding & Business Support Tuesday 14th November | 09:30 - 13:00 | Winter Gardens, Blackpool An opportunity to find out what funding and business support is available - including presentations about Boost and the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

Smarter Business Tech Live - Day 1 Wednesday 15th November | 09:30 - 17:00 | Manchester Central Complex A two-day exhibition for SME businesses featuring inspiring keynotes and roundtables from UK tech entrepreneurs.

Presenting and pitching to the NHS Thursday 16th November | 18:00 - 20:00 | Lancaster University Management School Advice for SME businesses on pitching their products and services effectively to NHS buyers.

Sales Masterclass Friday 17th November | 09:30 - 13:00 | Winter Gardens, Blackpool A fun and interactive workshop providing hints and tips on winning new business.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (#GEW2017) is a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities. Millions who had never before considered launching their own ventures soak up advice and inspiration from the likes of Richard Branson, Michael Dell and Muhammad Yunus.
