Digitalplus is a three-year ERDF funded project delivered by a multidisciplinary team of creative, marketing and technical specialists. The team have a strong track record of delivering successful ERDF projects over many years. We have assisted numerous Lancashire SMEs, helping them use digital technologies to attract new customers and grow their business. These include:

  • Digital Marketing: Website performance, local listings and social media
  • Digital Content: Photography and videography, digital twinning and video idents.
  • Virtual Reality (VR): Emerging technologies, Immersive design and Visualise data.
  • Augmented Reality (AR): Explore, Remote support and Cost saving practices.

Why do Lancashire businesses need your support?

The Digitalplus team are directed and managed by staff with many years of commercial experience working with SMEs and blue-chip accounts in web, multimedia, virtual reality and mixed reality projects.

This experience is combined with a young and creative production team who have an extensive range of skills in these areas and bring fresh ideas and solutions to Lancashire business community. Lancashire SMEs can benefit from support and impartial advice regarding your digital offering and using new emerging digital technologies.

We find that SME’s often encounter the same issues , for example poor website performance, poor web server security an inconsistent business information across directory listings.

How are you helping Lancashire businesses overcome the economic challenges of coronavirus?

The Digitalplus team quickly transitioned to working at home and have continued to support businesses throughout the pandemic. We have been involved in a variety of projects which has helped support Lancashire SMEs.

We have provided advice to businesses owners regarding the importance of their web presence, assisted a client to remotely relocate their business using digital twining and virtual reality. Digitalplus has also been assisting companies putting coaching and educational content online using virtual learning platforms. The team are currently working on an interactive online game and have developed animated infographics to promote client’s products.

This year, businesses have had to quickly adapt to more digital working practices, whether this is online sales, remote working or increasing their online presence. As a team we are constantly looking at new and innovative digital technology to improve the way we deliver our project to clients.

What are the other key challenges for Lancashire businesses at the moment?

This is a very difficult time for Lancashire SMEs with the uncertainty of what the future holds. Our experience is that business owners are resilient, re-evaluating how to adapt and are willing to consider alternative solutions.

We have seen the rise of digital technology as a result of the pandemic with Microsoft Teams, Skype and Zoom meetings now the norm. The genie can’t be put back in the bottle, so Lancashire SMEs will need to embrace digital as an integral part of their business strategy.

What’s the future for the Lancashire economy?

Although we are all living through the most difficult time in our collective history and we are all facing an uncertain future. Digitalplus has been encouraged by our experience of working with SMEs during the pandemic.

We have worked with real forward-thinking entrepreneurs who have identified potential business opportunities inspire of the economic climate. We have witnessed more established businesses diversifying their products and services to reflect an ever-changing landscape and adopting digital technology to enhance their offering.

To quote Mark Zuckerberg: “In a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks."
